Our team at ModA Curations is made up of socio-cultural anthropologists who are degree graduates and doctoral candidates of Wellesley College, Harvard University, and Columbia University.

As the creative industry continues to expand its global scope, ModA Studios institution prioritizes the accurate representation of the narratives of diverse artists, a core value in socio-cultural anthropology. We understand that the value of art comes from understanding the perspective of the artist, so we work with artists to call attention to cultural elements in their work and provide opportunities for them to directly educate consumers on the significance.

By providing artists with the anthropological structure and opportunity to speak directly to their audiences, we are allowing them the ability to increase the cultural relatability of their art, essentially challenging pre-existing art world metrics to reimagine how art can be valued. 

Additionally, we champion social change as a central pillar of our mission. We recognize that many diverse artists use their work as a platform to speak about social/cultural/political issues personal to their own lived experiences. Through our exhibitions, media platforms, and other engagements, we hope to not only educate our audiences on the relevance of these issues, but also contribute with financial donations to social organizations, collectives, NGOs, and non-profits around the world.
